Together we make DIGITAL HEALTH accessible
Together We Make DIGITAL HEALTH Accessible” is a joint international initiative inspired by the need for further collaboration in the healthcare sector. It aims to encourage the connection among innovative healthcare ecosystems worldwide, stimulate knowledge exchange and open new business opportunities. COVID-19 has shown us that it’s the right time to work together for more effective and sustainable healthcare systems based on data and technology, and accessible digital health solutions could be the right tool.
The initiative’s kick-off will be the virtual event “Together We Make DIGITAL HEALTH Accessible,” organized by the US-Bulgarian Chamber in America and Digital Health and Innovation Cluster Bulgaria. This one-hour and a half event will start at 11 AM EST on Tuesday (November 16, 2021).
The event will give you the opportunity to think about the ecosystem approach towards solving key challenges in the healthcare sector and find new business partners out of the ones presenting successful use cases.

ABOUT US-BULGARIAN CHAMBER:
US-Bulgarian Chamber is an active 501c6 non-for-profit organization that provides a comprehensive platform for its members with business interests in the United States and Bulgaria. The goal of the Chamber is to encourage and assist to US-Bulgarian economic relations in the scope of commerce, finance, agriculture, industry, transport, technologies, professional activities, and others. Since its first day of operation, the Chamber strives to become a bridge for US companies with interests and business in Bulgaria, Bulgarian companies present on the American market, and individuals interested or having stake in the economic relations between the two countries, such as with this new partnership with DHI Cluster. ABOUT DHI CLUSTER BULGARIA:
Digital Health and Innovations Cluster Bulgaria is a non-profit organization situated in Sofia, Bulgaria, which supports companies and organizations in digital solutions and innovations in healthcare to build an ecosystem and establish a sustainable and effective healthcare environment for patients, healthcare professionals, society, and institutions. DHI Cluster Bulgaria was created in November 2018 by nine companies and two not-for-profit organizations. In 2021, the DHI Cluster has more than 35 members and partners – national and international pharma and IT companies. The organization supports the creation of data-driven healthcare to boost sustainability and efficiency in the healthcare system and support the collaboration between all the stakeholders for a better understanding of the health system and its needs.

Dimitar DekovFOUNDER & CEO, B EYE
Dimitar Dekov holds a degree in economics and finance from the University of National and World Economy. He started his career as a business consultant in 2006, working for companies in a variety of industries. In 2012, he founded B EYE, a business intelligence company specializing in data analysis and visualization. Today, the company has expanded its range of services, providing agile planning and modeling, RPA, and advanced analytics solutions. Currently, the company has over 60 employees and has received many awards and recognitions, including “Tech Company of the Year” at the GTS Technology Awards in 2019 and the “Financial Times 1000 – Europe’s Fastest Growing Companies 2020” list.
Dimitar also actively contributes to the development of Bulgarian education. He is dedicated to creating a direct link between universities and the business by giving lectures on business intelligence at the Technical University of Sofia and UNWE.

Eliz NestorovPresident, US-Bulgarian Chamber in America
Eliz Nestorov is the Founder and President of the US-Bulgarian Chamber in America, a business membership organization that promotes, enhances, and develops American-Bulgarian economic relations which foster more positive global business and governmental relationships. As a Bulgarian-American prominent lobbyist and consultant in the State of Pennsylvania and its capital, Eliz consults nonprofit social enterprises and community-based organizations focusing on developing strategies for leaders, organizational board engagement, program effectiveness, evaluation and fundraising. Milena Stoycheva is currently CEO of JA in Bulgaria, an executive with extensive national and international experience in the area of education and training, entrepreneurship development, business skills and economic and financial literacy. Milena is a Visiting Professor for EIT Digital Master School on Innovation and Entrepreneurship; she has degrees from Bulgarian and American universities and specializations and training from UC Berkeley, Stanford, Penn State and Cornell University. She has served as a judge and mentor of the Intel Business Challenge Europe and Global team, has been part of the Intel Europe Entrepreneurship Core team and is an expert on entrepreneurship with OECD and European Commission. She is a recipient of the “Women’s Leadership Award” presented to her by the US Ambassador in Bulgaria. Milena Stoycheva is the chairperson of the Digital Health and Innovation Cluster Bulgaria.

As a seasoned public health and operational medicine specialist rooted in military medicine, healthcare information technology, healthcare policy and medical education, Shaun has had the great honor of providing consultative support for several governing healthcare bodies across the globe. Specialty areas include eHealth reform, Health Information Exchange, Population Health Management, Care Management, and FWA.
Shaun is also a proud U.S. Navy veteran, spending the bulk of his military career serving the U.S. Marine Corps as a Fleet Marine Force Hospital Corpsman and as Ops Manager for the Chief of Naval Operation, Medical Resources, Plans and Policy Division. -

Since 2009, he has Chairman of the Advisory Board of the CalErin Group, an investment advisory firm in East and Central Europe. He also is in his 15th year on the Board of Directors of Safi Apparel, a US contractor in Afghanistan. In international higher education, Michael Ussery is President of CAUA, analyzing, planning and organizing American universities overseas including projects in Mongolia, Romania, Albania, Bahrain and Jordan. Previously, Ussery was Chairman and President 2002 – 2006 of the Coordinating Council for International Universities (CCIU) that planned the American University of Afghanistan under a U.S. government grant. He advised Morocco and Japan governments on education, and led planning for universities in Mongolia, Romania, Jordan, Albania and Malta.
