The second edition of the international accelerator program HealthCare Lab is starting and will support healthcare technology startups in an early stage from Central, Eastern and Southern Europe. The initiative will take place in the period January-April 2022 and the projects will be divided into three categories – healthcare data management, screening and early diagnostics, and digital therapeutics and disease management.
The selected startups in the program will have the opportunity to develop their projects with the help of the international network of the organizer – Roche, a world leader in the pharmaceutical industry and biotechnology. Roche is also a member of the Digital Health and Innovation Cluster Bulgaria (DHI Cluster Bulgaria).
Moreover, to achieve even greater impact, HealthCare Lab joined forces with EIT Health, Europe’s largest network of health innovators, and more than 30 proven experts will also support the selected projects. The initiative is recognized by a total of 16 countries in Central, Eastern or Southern Europe.

Registration for the acceleration program is active until November 30, 2021. A virtual information event will be held on November 4, 2021. The meeting will include experts who will explain more about the program and the challenges in it. The selection process will be in early December, with the goal of selecting 9 startups that will be included in the accelerator program, starting in January 2022.
During the 3-month program all selected startups will gain the opportunity to develop their projects with support of the international network of Roche, EIT Health and top healthcare business mentors form international companies. The program will combine workshops, one-on-one mentoring and dedicated coaching sessions, along with networking and matchmaking events. HealthCare Lab will conclude with a final Demo Day in April 2022 and with the final selection of the winners in each challenge.
